Whether your child is transitioning into Kindergarten, moving into the fast-paced world of Middle School, or stepping onto a High School track, milestone years bring a unique blend of excitement and anxiety.
As a parent, you might be asking yourself: Did they learn enough this year? Are they going to drown in homework? Will they fall behind?
Academic readiness isn’t about forcing your child to memorize a textbook over summer vacation. It’s about building foundational skills. Here is how we intentionally bridge those gaps at LBACS to ensure a smooth transition:
Mastery Over Memorization: We ensure students fully comprehend foundational concepts (like reading fluency or fractions) before moving forward, preventing the gaps that cause frustration later.
Executive Functioning Skills: Starting in the early grades, we teach students how to organize their time, manage a planner, and break big projects into bite-sized steps.
A Supportive Runway: Transitioning to a new grade level can be scary. Our small class sizes mean our teachers can provide a personalized transition, giving extra help to students who need to catch up and extra challenges to those ready to fly.
You don't have to navigate these academic milestones alone.
